An aluminum extrusion with the top hat section carries a timber or plastic insert retained by both serrations in the extrusion and screws. The insert is sufficiently deep to accept screws or nails, and sufficiently wide to butt plywood overtop. The top flange is thickened to increase stiffness and resistance to impact damage. A continuous bolt slot at the center of bottom flange allows the Aluminum Beam to be clamped to any other Aluminum Beam's component and virtually any other shoring component.
Standard length of Aluminum 140 Beam starts at 1.20m (4’) and increment of 300mm to a maximum length of 11.70m (38’). Special lengths subject to availability or on a sales basis only.
